Happy New Year from Renewed Vision Behavioral Health Services!!!!!
Goodbye 2020 and Hello 2021!!! Typically, transitioning into a New Year can be a daunting task but having goals and intentions that are clear can always ease the fear of the new. New Year’s Resolutions are a thing of the past because it can be so easy to fall off, forget or decide that resolution is no longer desirable. Perhaps refreshing the thought process into identifying goals or your intentions for the year will make your achievements much more obtainable.
How do you set a goal? Start off by setting a goal that motivates you. Your goal must also be measurable, specific, obtainable with a time frame attached so that it is achievable.
Having a goal that is too vague without direction or set limits may be the key factor in you losing interest; it may also cause feelings of anxiety or trigger depression. Once you have all the ingredients of your goal, be sure to put your goal in writing so that it makes it real. There should be detailed steps and smaller tasks that should place you closer to your goal once those are attained and highlight proof of you progress. Keep your goal where you can see it as a daily reminder to motivate you.
